About Us

Our Roots

My wife, Janna, and I started Potter Cattle Company 21 years ago. I grew up on a farm and ranch—it’s in my blood. After a 10-year stint in the Army moving around the country, I knew I had to get back to the soil and the animals. We wanted to build something lasting, raised the exact way nature intended.

Regenerative Stewardship on 670 Acres

Today, we manage 670 acres of pasture in southern Caddo County. We are deeply committed to regenerative farming to improve soil health, reduce erosion, and raise exceptionally healthy animals with minimal inputs.

We strictly follow the five principles of soil health:

  • Maximizing plant diversity

  • Keeping the soil covered

  • Minimizing soil disturbance

  • Keeping living roots in the soil year-round

  • Proper livestock integration

A Nutrient-Packed Buffet

You are what you eat, and the same goes for our cattle. We plant diverse forage mixes of small grains, legumes, brassicas, and broadleaf plants. By grazing these alongside native pasture species like Tall Dropseed and Switchgrass, we provide a nutrient-packed buffet for our herd.

This intensive rotational grazing allows us to raise premium 100% grass-fed and grass-finished cattle that are naturally higher in healthy Omega-3 fats and lower in Omega-6.

Thank you for trusting us to feed your family.
